Happy New Millennium to you all. We have marked the Millennium by buying each of the Brownies a Millennium Badge for her sash and a Millennium pencil.

At the end of last term we said goodbye to our two oldest Brownies, Claire (my daughter!) and Antonia who have both moved up to our very active Guide Unit. This term we welcome Abbey (Sophie's sister) as our new Tweenie. The pack still remains full with 25 Brownies.

Capitation

For those of you who are new, this is money that goes directly to Central Guiding Funds (not the Brownie Pack) and covers a wide range of items including insurance.

As a pack we need to pay this in early February. I would be grateful if you could let me have the cheque / cash by 16th February 2000 at the very latest (£ 12.00 per Brownie). Please may I have the payment in a named envelope. Cheques should be made payable to 3rd South Wallington Brownie Pack. If this presents you with any problems please do see me or give me a ring.

Capitation is only payable to Brownies if your daughter will still be a Brownie on the day that the official census is taken (22nd February 1999) If your daughter will be attending Guides at 22nd February 1999, Capitation is payable to Guides rather than Brownies.

Pantomime Visit - Saturday 22nd January

Just a reminder of the above visit. We will meet at 2.10pm inside the Secombe Theatre. Please collect your daughter at 5.00pm.

Thinking Day / District Meeting - Sunday 20th February

Time:	2.00pm - 4.30pm
Venue:	More details nearer the time.
Theme:	Let Peace Walk the Earth. This will include craft activities, a service and refreshments.
Cost:	£ 1.00 to cover the cost of craft materials

Please keep this date free, as it is one of the more important events on the Brownie calendar. Please try to ensure that your daughter attends. I will give further details as I receive them. Additionally, details will be posted on the web site as soon as they are available.
